This documentary was created to showcase the mission and heart of Cotton Branch Farm & Sanctuary — a place where animals are treated with compassion and community runs deep. The goal was to capture the impact of their work and the meaningful connections between the volunteers, staff, and animals.

Filming took place over the course of three visits to the farm, allowing time to fully absorb the atmosphere. The story was built through an interview with Executive Director Josh Carpenter Costner, footage of volunteers during their daily routines, and candid moments with the animals. While some planned shots had to be reworked — thanks to the unpredictability of pigs — that spontaneity led to unexpected, genuine moments that made the piece even stronger.

The final edit, completed in Premiere Pro, was shared by Cotton Branch on Instagram and Facebook. It received a wave of positive feedback, reminding followers of the powerful work happening at the sanctuary and the loving, close-knit community behind it.
